Game Overview
Shell Shockers is a multiplayer online 3D first-person shooter (FPS) developed by Blue Wizard Digital and released in 2017. It stands out as the most hardcore egg-themed shooter in its genre. In this world, you’re not a heavily armed soldier—you’re a fragile yet deadly egg. The game replaces graphic violence with humorous effects like cracking shells and splattering yolk.
It’s a web-based game, meaning you can jump straight into battle through your browser without downloading a large client. (Note: A mobile app version existed previously, but mobile services were discontinued in early 2024; the game is now primarily focused on browser play.)
Core Gameplay
- Egg Characters: All players appear as eggs. Your health is visually represented by cracks on your shell—the more damage you take, the more fractured it becomes.

Arsenal & Classes
At each respawn, you can switch your primary weapon. All players also carry a sidearm (pistol) and a melee weapon (whisk).
Primary Weapons
- EggK-47 (Assault Rifle): All-rounder. High fire rate, strong at mid-range, stable—ideal for beginners.
- Scrambler (Shotgun): Close-quarters brawler. Fires two shots with devastating close-range crits (“one-shot splat”), weak at distance.
- Free Ranger (Semi-Auto Sniper): Marksman. Equipped with a scope for accurate mid-to-long-range shots. Low margin for error in close combat.
- RPEGG (Rocket Launcher): Demolition expert. Fires explosive rockets for area damage. Small magazine, slow reload—but deadly in tight corridors.
- Whipper (SMG): Rusher. Large magazine and very high fire rate, perfect for run-and-gun tactics at close to mid range.
- Crackshot (Bolt-Action Sniper): Elite sniper. One-shot potential with extreme precision, but very slow fire rate.
- Tri-Hard (Three-Round Burst Rifle): Tactical mid-ranger. Fires three precise rounds per trigger pull—excellent burst damage at medium range.
Sidearms & Gear
- Cluck 9mm (Pistol): Backup when your primary runs dry.
- Grenade: Press Q to throw—great for flushing enemies out of cover.
Game Modes
Four main competitive modes:
- Free For All: Every egg for themselves. Highest frag count wins.
- Teams: Red vs. Blue team deathmatch. Work together to eliminate the opposing team.
- Captula the Spatula: Capture-the-flag style. Steal the golden spatula from the enemy base and return it to yours.
- King of the Coop: King-of-the-hill mode. Hold a designated zone longer than the enemy team to win.

Pro Tips
- Keep Moving: Standing still makes you an easy target. Combine jumping and strafing to stay unpredictable.
- Use Your Pistol: Don’t forget to switch to your Cluck 9mm (press E) for quick finishers—it’s faster than reloading.
- Aim for the Yolk: Hitting the center of an egg (the “head”) deals bonus damage.
- Customize Your Look: Earn in-game currency (“Eggs”) to buy hats, skins, and weapon decals in the shop. Purely cosmetic—but looking sharp never hurts!
